Zhana Bergendorff

Zhana has a vast experience in music, coming from a family of musicians. Having moved to South Korea at the age of 18 to sing, she later moved to Denmark to live with her fiancé. While there she competed on the Danish version of The X Factor. She later competed once more on her native Bulgarian version of the show in 2013 which she eventually won.

Following her X Factor win Zhana later recorded and released more music including her debut single “Samuray”. She continued to release music through Virginia Records before parting ways with the label.

In 2018 Zhana became the only female member of Equinox who were internally selected to represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest who finished in 14th place. Since her involvement in Eurovision Zhana has also competed in celebrity singing show The Masked Singer in Bulgaria where she ended in second place in disguise as the character “The Rose”.

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest

At the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, 17-year-old Kristian Kostov finished in second place in the Grand Final, bringing Bulgaria their best ever result. 2017 saw Bulgaria make only their third final in their Eurovision history, the first being in 2007 when Elitsa & Stoyan finished 5th with the song “Water”. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005.
