The Roop

The Roop are a Lithuanian pop rock band from Vilnius. Formed in 2014, the group consists of Vaidotas Valiukevičius, Robertas Baranauskas, and Mantas Banišauskas. The group has released two albums—To Whom It May Concern in 2015 and Ghosts in 2017–as well as the extended play Yes, I Do in 2018. They were to represent Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with their song "On Fire" after winning their country's national selection, before the contest was cancelled as a result of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Europe. | Find out more about this artist and others like them at

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest

Lithuania debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, however on their debut they finished in last place with nul points. Lithuania didn’t return to the contest until 1999 when Aiste finished 20th with the song “Strazdas”. Lithuania’s best result came in 2006 when LT United performed “We Are The Winners”; they finished 6th in the final with a total of 162 points. Lithuania’s only other top 10 finish came in 2016 when Donny Montell performed “I’ve Been Waiting For This Night” in Stockholm, he received 12 points from the public in Ireland, Norway & United Kingdom. | Find out more about this artist and others like them at
