Silvia Alberto

Sílvia Alberto is a television presenter and actress. After graduating from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School, she got her first presenting job on Clube Disney on RTP. In 2002, she moved to commercial broadcaster SIC, where she presented the first two series of Ídolos and two editions of the Gloubos de Oro (Golden Globes). In 2006, she returned to RTP and has presented multiple programs since then, including Operação Triunfo, Masterchef, Got Talent Portugal and Festival da Canção.

In 2018, Sílvia presented the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon alongside Catarina Furtado, Daniela Ruah and Filomena Cautela. She has also provided commentary for Portuguese viewers in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

Eurojury

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest

Portugal debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 represented by Antonio Calvario, the country finished last scoring nul points. Prior to 2016, the best result of Portugal was 6th place which came in 1996 when Lucia Moniz performed in Oslo. She scored 92 points, receiving the 12 points from both Norway and Cyprus. Since their debut, Portugal have missed a total of five contests. In 2017, Portugal produced a spectacular win when Salvador Sobral took home the crystal microphone with his song “Amar Pelos Dois.” The 2018 contest was held in Lisbon, Portugal for the first time.
