Sashka Janx

Aleksandra Janković, known professionally as Sashka Janx, is a Serbian singer-songwriter who was born on 29th April 1988 in Smederevo, Serbia. Since she was young, she has been influenced by music, having learnt to play the piano and the violin as a child. As a teenager, she went on to participate in many talent competitions including the 2008 PAN Music Festival, where she was awarded the Best Newcomer award.

Sashka first took part in Serbia’s Eurovision selection show, Beovizija, in 2009, where she finished in 8th place in the final. In 2010 and 2011, she provided backing vocals for both Milan Stanković and Nina Radojičić at the Eurovision Song Contest. A year later, she participated in the second season of The First Voice of Serbia.

The singer went on to participate in Serbia’s Eurovision selection show another two times (2013 and 2018), up until her most recent attempt in 2019, where she finished in third place with her song “Da Li Čuješ Moj Glas”. | Find out more about this artist and others like them at

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest

Serbia have competed as an independent nation in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2007, and have seen great success in the competition. Their first entry in 2007, Marija Šerifović’s “Molitva”, won the contest in Helsinki with 268 points, making Serbia’s debut one of the most successful in Eurovision history. From then up to their year’s break in 2014, Serbia finished in the top 10 a further two times, including a 3rd place finish in 2012 with Željko Joksimović’s “Nije ljubav stvar”. | Find out more about this artist and others like them at
