Igor Simić

Igor Simić is a singer from Mladenovac in Serbia. Igor was a member of the Serbian band Loco, however he left when he went on to progress his solo career in 2017, when he released his first solo single “Poveruj u ljubav” with Magic Records.

More recently, this year Igor made his first appearance in the Eurovision world when he participated in Serbia’s Eurovision selection, Beovizija. His song “Ples za rastanak” advanced to the grand final of the selection where he finished in 3rd position in the final, even coming second in the jury vote.

Eurojury

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest

Serbia have competed as an independent nation in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2007, and have seen great success in the competition. Their first entry in 2007, Marija Šerifović’s “Molitva”, won the contest in Helsinki with 268 points, making Serbia’s debut one of the most successful in Eurovision history. From then up to their year’s break in 2014, Serbia finished in the top 10 a further two times, including a 3rd place finish in 2012 with Željko Joksimović’s “Nije ljubav stvar”.
