Gevorg Harutyunyan

Gevorg Harutunyan first came to public attention after finishing fifth on the second season of X Factor Armenia in 2013. From there, he went on to participate in many festivals, including representing Armenia at the New Wave Contest in 2018 in Sochi.

In 2017 he first participated in Depi Evratesil in an attempt to represent Armenia at Eurovision. He returned to the contest the following year with the song “Stand Up” which finished in 7th place.

Prior to this, he also won the fourth season of the Armenian version of Dancing With the Stars in 2015.

Eurojury is the flagship broadcast of Showcase, celebrating the music of the Eurovision Song Contest with juries of up to 180 entertainment industry professionals. Rob Lilley has hosted the televised event since the fourth edition in 2016, succeeding Josh Dubovie and Linda Martin during the show's time as a radio broadcast. Eurojury is known for producing an accurate simulation of the results likely to be seen at the Eurovision Song Contest in May and is often used by bookmakers and broadcasters as a guide and prediction of the grand final result.

Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest

Armenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has participated every year since, excluding 2012. Armenia’s best results came in 2008 and 2014 when they finished 4th in the final. They have twice failed to qualify for the final. The first time was in 2011, when Emmy finished in 12th with “Boom Boom”. She was 1 point away from qualifying for the final. In 2019, Srbuk finished 16th in her semi-final with “Walking Out”, bringing Armenia their worst result to date in the contest. | Find out more about this artist and others like them at
