Norway in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Norway last participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, when Malin Reitan came third with “Sommer og skolefri”, Norway’s best result in the contest. Norway was one of the original 16 countries to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and hosted the 2004 contest in Lillehammer. Norway also took part in MGP Nordic alongside Denmark, Sweden and Finland in 2002 and from 2006 to 2009.

Sigrid Solbakk Raabe (born 5 September 1996) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. In 2017, she released her debut EP Don't Kill My Vibe, and later won the BBC Music Sound of 2018. Her single "Strangers" reached number 10 on the UK Singles Chart, and in March 2019, she released her debut studio album, Sucker Punch, which debuted at number one on Norwegian charts and at number four on the UK Albums Chart.
